Hi!

My name is Alyanna. I am a writer and journalist in Toronto.  Currently, I am the assistant editor at Maclean’s, where I oversee the magazine’s back-of-book section, curating stories on immigration, housing, and arts and culture from across Canada. I also handle web essays and memoirs on politics, economics, social issues and the environment.

I freelance on the side, too. My bylines include The WalrusToronto Life, the Literary Review of Canada, Broadview, the Toronto Star and many others.
